I know a TON of serviette/napkin folds and I have started posting step by step instructions (with photographs ) for a whole heap of them.
My grandmother loved making napkins into wonderful shapes and probably loved that I shared her passion and made these every time I stayed with her, and often when we visited as she adored making full " afternoon tea" and bringing out her best baking...
The rest I learned in various restaurants I worked in... in fact I taught THEM some of these LOL... and the rest and Aunt and I had fun with !
I'm going to love the ideas in this Forum !

You know the comment about the "paper for company" is so true and isn't it a shame Taking a little extra effort and doing it up nice means so much to everyone. Even though I'm doing a brunch - bar b q - type thing, I'm planning on getting some of those colorful plastic dishes and things. I want everyone to know I am happy and proud to have them all together at my home.
Would LOVE to have some ways to fold napkins. Right now all I do is slip them trough a napkin ring.

Bonnie, here's a thread Rita started about folding napkins.
Folding napkins
I put several links in there that show step by step instructions for making fancy napkin folds.

Oh yes, I've decided on a garden and flower theme since it's summer. I thought I've use and old watering can for a flower arrangment, put fresh flowers on the the napkins, maybe use mini flower pots to hold a flower with name tags. And go for colors that are bright and sunny like rose, purple, and green. Don't know where else to go with this yet, but at least I feel like I'm moving in a direction. I do have the menu planned and as this is getting bigger and bigger every day ( I'm getting a little scared) I'm glad I'm starting to make some progress.
Thanks for checking in. Bonnie

I will Dreamgoddess I wish I could have it done in time for the contest, but DH won't even be home until the 10th so a little late. But when it's done I'll make sure pics get here. Wish me luck on finding everything I'll be needing.

I adore setting the table for holidays or for themed dinners, etc. I wish I could add photos but I can't but I love to share ideas and borrow yours too. Thanksgiving is one of my favorites to decorate for. I host it here all the time and try to do it differently every year. This forum should be busy around holiday time
Glad you thought of this forum!
