Hi
Does it count if you are of German decent and have visited Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany and Austria and have friends living there as well. Would like to be able to sneak in and peek at what all of you are doing. I'm in the USA

Hi Gabi:
I am a first generation Canadian of German heritage. Have spent two years in Trudering, outside Munchen. This is the FIRST time in my life (I am in my mid forties) that I have seen someone who spells their name the same way as I do! Might be a small thing for the rest of you, but I have had to spell both the full version (Gabriele) . my nickname (Gabi), and my last name (since it has three vowels in a row, not very common in english) every time, otherwise my name is totally mis-spelled. It is nice to know that my parents obviously took the german spellings of my first name, and were not just being creative!

I am from the US originally, but now live in Germany in NRW with my German husband. He teaches me how to make German foods and I teach him how to make the various things I have learnt over the years to make, mainly Chinese, Japanese and Italian food.
