I am so tired of the usual brownies out of a box, yet I have a brand new box of Duncan Hines staring at me. You guys have any good recipes that use brownie mix?

    Hi Beth,
Try the Mocha Brownie Torte Mocha Brownie Torte
I have made this forever and there's never any left.
Good Luck....looks like lots of great ideas here for your box of brownie mix......
Btw, the "cakes" look very flat when they are done. That's why I thought I had made a mistake but keep going and you won't be sorry!

I know this is late, but I add peppermint patties to the bottom of the pan before pouring in the batter. Yummy! icon_biggrin.gif

Here is one of my recipes that I enjoy and get a lot of requests to bring to gatherings. It does use a box mix but there is more to it:

Take 2 boxes of brownie mix and mix them up according to the directions, chop up 4 Snickers bars in your food processor, add them, 1/3 cup Hershey's syrup, 1 cup peanut butter chips and 1/2 cup chocolate chips to the mix.

You will need a deep 9 x 13 pan and they need to cook at about 50 degrees cooler than the box says for an additional 15-20 minutes.

    They are to die for!!!

    brownie pie

make brownie mix of your choice as directed on pkg

one lg box of instant chocolate pudding
one sm box of white chocolate instant pudding
mix both boxes of instant pudding as if you are making pie... that way its stiffer and will set up nicely.

    one tub of Cool Whip
    shaved dark chocolate

    9x13 pan

when brownies are half way cool poor the pudding./pie mix that you mixed up over the brownies....then cover with the cool whip...and then shave some dark chocolate on top of the Cool Whip and it makes it pretty.. let set for at least 4 hours before eating, overnight is best

    its yummy and love it.
