Has anyone tried a similar recipe to the below in the crock pot?

I'd like to make these for my daughter's wedding....assemble in advance, place in the fridge, then dump into a crock pot to heat so I can cook several dozen at a time leading up to the reception.

    Thoughts?.....

    Thanks!

I cooked for my daughter's wedding and have lots of good memories from it.

I have not tried that, but look at Karen of Colorado's note about the crockpot on this recipe: | Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts

Don't expect rapid heating in the crockpot. They are great as warmers once the food is hot. If you do use the crockpot for heating, give it some time and I'd keep the lid ajar some to keep steam from softening the bacon.
