I have made Pickled Garlic by T. Woolfe. Delicious! I can't wait 1 month for this, it's good straight from the pan!

Thanks, I'm happy to hear that .
I am so busy with writing on my thesis and teaching day and evening classes. Maybe I will be able to cook something Iranian this weekend.

Now that Thanksgiving is over and my son is on his way back to school, I had time to think about my Iranian menu. This time I've found some recipes outside of Zaar that I plan to try - probably next weekend. If they're any good, I'll post them.
Khoresh Ghaarch - Chicken simmered with onions, with a mushroom saffron type sauce added at the end. This is served with Polow - a version of basmati rice. If I can still find a few nice tomatoes I'll make Salad - Shirazi, a salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, onion, lime juice, olive oil and fresh mint.

I have made a nice dish today with basmati rice, cabbage and minced beef balls, all cooked together and spiced with black cumin, turmeric and saffron.
I will post the recipe as soon as I can and give you the link.

I am a Scot , and I live in Cairo in Egypt, and I cook a lot of Iranian food for my family as we believe it to have many health-giving benefits. Most Iranian people consume vast quantities of yoghurt which they call Mast, incorporating it into salads, marinades and quite a few cooked dishes. I will search my collection , many of the recipes have been given to me by Iranians themselves, so we are talking really authentic cooking. The cuisine is mildly spiced, and tends to rely more on herbs which are usually fresh. I will post some recipes as soon as I can

Hi Sharon123!! I have decided to make Borani Esfenaj, which is Spinach Salad, Iranian style, I will probably make Bagali Polo, which is an exotic rice dish flavoured with dill, Tah Chin, chicken cooked with saffron and yoghurt and last but not least, my Persian Fruit Salad. I will post these recipes on the site next week, I promise!!

Unfortunately I had to send in my laptop and haven't had access to the internet for several weeks .
I am still waiting for my laptop to be repaired. However, I now have at least the internet working on my old laptop.
However, due to my laptop problems on the one hand and the approaching RSC contest, the Asian tour is taking a break until RSC is over. You are still invited to cook Iranian dishes until we stop in another country, though.
