    ~Non-Alcoholic Punches~

Holiday Punch by mama’s kitchen is a great cranberry and citrus punch that can be served hot or cold. You could also add alcohol to this punch and serve both types at your holiday party.

Sparkling Cranberry Punch by Paula G is an excellent alternative to an alcoholic celebratory beverage. Adults and kids alike will love this easy to make punch.

Pamela’s White Holiday Punch is a classy looking non-alcoholic punch with ingredients sure to please adults and children this holiday season.

    ~Hot Holiday Punches~

Nothing says Christmas more then hot spiced punch with friends and family.

RitaL’s Holiday Punch (Crockpot) is easily served out of your slow cooker. One reviewer, kburie, “used Skyy Spiced Vodka for the booze, adding it to individual mugs so that the children and nondrinkers could also enjoy this.” She also garnished each mug with a clove-studded orange wedge!

RitaL has also posted Mulled Spiced Wine with lots of spice and good cheer to warm you and your guest during the cold winter holidays!

Gay Gilmore's Hot Buttered Rum and RitaL's Hot Butter your Buns with Buttered Rum in a crockpot are just two of the many Hot Butter Rums on Zaar

    ~Alcohol Based Punches~

    Brandy-Wine Punch

Creamy Eggnog Punch with Spiced Rum by RitaL served with or without rum and contains no raw eggs. Her friend Dolly K sure seemed impressed!

A beautiful Spiced Red Wine Punch that is perfect for a holiday party. The recipe uses a Holiday Spice Syrup that can also be used in the December Stormy holiday cocktail that uses rum instead of wine – a great solution for multiple guests!

    ~Traditional Punches Around the World~

Feuerzangenbowle (Burnt Punch, Traditional German Beverage) posted by Thorsten certainly gets the visual vote! Sylvie sums it up wonderfully in her view; “I love Feuerzangenbowle and this is the same as we always do. It is such a lovely experience to sit around the pot and watch the sugar burn and slowly drip into the wine. The wait is rewarded with a wonderful, hot and potent drink that will warm you up and make you feel like the holiday season is truly there or just around the corner!”

Heather Feather posted Gluehwein (German Hot Wine Punch) that is a staple at the Christmas festivites in Germany. Clara12 explains how to use the leftovers to preapare a delicious jam / jelly with it in her review!

    Mulled Wine a La Kolibri,
UnknownChef86’s SAFT GLOGG (Swedish Fruit Juice Glogg), Non-Alcohol Glögg (Finnish Chrismas Hot Spiced Punch) posted by persikka and the more traditional alcoholic version of Glogg posted by .::.Blink.::. are great examples of traditional Scandinavian Christmas recipes.

Ethiopian Party Punch posted by Happy Harry and Chabear01's Ethiopian Punch are fruity concoctions representing our African punches!

Mexi-Rosie wishes us all a Feliz Navidad with her recipe for Mexican Hot Christmas Fruit Punch also called Ponche - her daughters favorite!

All of these recipes are a gift indeed!

Now it is your turn! Please share your favorites with us!

    Happy Holidays!

Golden Wassail is good. I tried it last year as a part of the Holiday Cheer 2005 game.

It looks like there are some great recipes here.

I am now to the Zaar and am hoping to find an alcoholic holiday punch I can make ahead and keep on hand in the fridge for unexpected guests.

    Thanks in advance

There's nothing I love better than mixed drinks (non-alcoholic), punch, hot drinks, etc. I drink stuff like this all year long and don't need a holiday. Here are my recipes:
    Diabetic Cranberry Soul-Warming Tea
    Mulled Cherry-Cranberry Warmer
    Pineapple Wassail
    Diabetic Sunrise Fruit Drink
    Diabetic Virgin White Sangria
**Christmas "spirit" Custard (This is the best stuff in the world! Mom usually only makes it at the holidays, but if I am having a bad day, I'll call her up and ask for some and she always brings me a big jug. Oh, and you HAVE to have the whiskey...it really does make a difference, but there's not a lot in it.)
    Shaker Spiced Grape Juice
    Oliver's Smokehouse Apple Frost
    Eggnog for Diabetics
    Tropical Rainfall
Here are other folk's stuff I like too!
    Banana Party Punch
    Hot Caramel Apple Cider

    Simple Spiced Apple Juice Tea
    Cider Tea
    Hot Spiced Tea

I only have one, but we like it. You can add rum to it if desired.

    Hey, Longhorn!
I made some the other night when it was SOOO cold! It is so rich, though, for me, because concord grape juice is so sweet. It's definately a treat for me. I also like the Oliver Punch...apple juice and lime sherbet. It sounds unusual, but it really is good..and green for the holidays. I like mine kinda slushy.
