Belgium/Dutch Rice Pie

Newbie "Fry Cook" Poster

I have eat some time ago a very nice Rice Pie in Belgium. It cames with cherry sauce on the top. I would love to have this recipe. Can someone help me? Thanks. Joelma

Newbie "Fry Cook" Poster

I think I know what you're talking about -- we just got back from a trip to Europe, including Verviers, Belgium. My hubby plays in a band, and after their show there, in the dressing room, the club owner had left a pie for us. We all shared it back at the hotel, and it was like rice pudding in a pie shell. It was very good and not too sweet! Is that what you had?

Hm, now I think I should make it too and give it to my friends who went on the trip!

BTW, I didn't mention in my previous post that we didn't have the cherry topping like you did. Ours was just plain. Bet it would be great with that, though!
