I'm part of a bake sale happening this friday and saturday and I've already got a list of things that I was possibly considering making to sell. But I was hoping for a bunch of other peoples input as well as ideas because I'm still not sure if certain cookies, bars, etc. would sell well or not.
Oh yeah, the bake sale is also happening concurrently along with a rummage sale (in Michigan for more reference) as well to give you the audience that I'll be selling to. Here are ones I'm already seriously considering:
Reeses Squares
Ultimate Chocolate Truffle Cookies
Zimtsterne (Cinnamon Star Cookies)
Lemon Cookies IIi
Snickers Candy Bars
Chocolate Cherry Chewies
Oatmeal Peanut Butter Strawberry Bars
Caramel Apple Quick Bread
Double Chocolate Chip Mega Muffins
Cranberry Scones Recipe (maybe w/white chocolate chips)
Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
So....any other ideas/recipes that you think would sell really well? I was thinking of doing some bars, cookies, maybe a scone recipe or two, as well as maybe selling the quick breads as mini loaves as well. Thoughts?
Snickerdoodles/snickerdoodle scones?
Cherry Bars/cookies?
Chocolate chip/banana bread?
Lemon Poppy Seed bread?
No bakes?

The no bakes would be good- the regular and the peanut butter, and perhaps small (miniture) loaves of banana bread and pumpkin bread but be careful of the chocolate snacks you've listed--- they're delicious but remember what time of year this is-- and this weekend is supposed to be in the upper 80's here in Michigan....chocolate at that temperature is not pretty

There was an earlier thread about bake sales... didn't save it but maybe somebody did.... and I remember someone suggesting making sugar-free stuff. Said when she made sugar-free baked items (and labeled them as such), they went like hotcakes!

Since it gets warm out, how about some individual bottles of milk and bottled water. Those might sell well too.

So if I do the scones, muffins, or cookies, what do you think the best way to package or price them is? For the mini loaves I was thinking maybe $2-3 but I wasn't sure about the others. Maybe like a half a dozen for $2? Or by 4's instead for a little larger cookie?
Any other unique/popular recipe ideas?
