This is a site I have bookmarked Crockette Recipes. I'll hunt around and see if I can find the instructions that came with my crockette, maybe there will be a recipe or two in it.

Here's a good one, too: http://www.nd.edu/~meiteljo/crockette.html. I have printed this out nicely for my binder.

HOWEVER! I have found that the new Crockettes (the white ones with the glass tops) are a little faster cooking than the older ones (the brownish ones with the plastic tops). So you'll want to watch carefully the first few times you try these recipes.

I have used my Crockette for side dishes while my Crock cooks the main meal, and that is very nice to come home to.

I have tried two experiments in my crockette that turned out well, but alas! I did not keep track of what I did. I'm going to try again so I can post. Let's all keep track of our experiments. We can make an impressive cookbook!

While browsing around in Amazon I found -- not one --TWO crockette recipe books and wanted to get them here so you can check them out. I'm not sure how to link to them so I will give you the titles and authors.

Don't you love those short, concise titles? Seriously, however, I am sorely tempted to give at least one of them a try. Looks like our little friend, the crockette, is getting more popular than ever!

I just got the 350 recipes for the mini slow cooker book, and it is fantastic. But I have one question... all his recipes are based on his slow cooker that only has one setting. Mine has warm, low, and high. Which of my settings does his one setting translate into? Any ideas?

I would say the one setting types are generally "high". At least, mine is.
When you try your first recipes, I would assume he meant high.

Just wanted to post that I have made many recipes in my Crockette that were written for larger Crocks. I reduce the ingredients (really?) and check after about half the cooking time as listed for HI. (My experience with my newer little Crock is that its temp is between LO and HI of my big ones.) Most of the time, I 've done this with tried and true recipes, so results are different only in cooking time. Hope this helps someone.

I am a recent widow, husband passed away just before Christmas, and was having some trouble with what to cook for just one person. My children gave me a 1 1/5 quart crock pot (crockette) but I did not know what to do with it. I was used to large and medium pots. I went on line to RecipeZaar and, to my surprise, I found all this information. Can't wait to try the scalloped potatoes.

I am glad to see this post. I will have to look around here some more. I have a 6 quart digital crock pot. I then just downsized to the 3.5 crock pot. I know it is not the crock***ette. Yet it is not a bad size for my girl and I. They did not have any smaller that I liked.

So hopefully the crock ette recipes will work in mine as well.
