Does this ring any bells?
Where we used to live, in north London, a Turkish grocer sold the best little cookies. The best way I can describe them is kind of like a Turkish twist on biscotti.
They are shaped kind of like a thick finger, maybe 1 inch around and 4 inches long. They're quite dry, come in both sweet and savoury varieties (the sweet is our favourite) and they have sesame seeds on the outside.
I'm sure the name was something like Persekemet, pesekemet... but searching on Google doesn't bring up anything.

Gee Sackie (hi there!!

) I have never been to Turkey, and I live too far away! I wonder if you shouldn't ask in the forums "close" to Turkey as well?
