My husband brought home frozen cooked shrimp. I was going to use a recipe from here using RAW shrimp. What do I do with bags and bags of frczen cooked shrimp.....besides making a cocktail sauce and serving. Any main dishes I can make? Thanks for your help.

Here are the ones I made. I got everything ready and only put the cooked shrimp in at the last minute to get them hot.

You don't even have a problem, and you don't even know it!
Frozen shrimp that have been thawed cannot be refrozen UNLESS THEY HAVE BEEN COOKED!. Thus, since you have COOKED the shrimp, they can now be safely refrozen and used as needed or desired! Just be sure to remove as much air as possible from the freezing container.....freezer bags would be best, and use as whenever. I would not keep them re-frozen for more than 90 days, but, I wish I had your problem!

trick, please try recipe #128634 Chicken Lo Mein by peacefulnightdove. Replace the chicken with shrimp. Also a delicious shrimp salad could be made, or a scampi or creole dish. The possibilities are endless. Just remember to add the shrimp at the last, since it is already cooked, as I am sure you know.

I got some lovely cooked shrimp also. I sauted some cubed fresh tomatoes and minced garlic in butter with a splash of lemon juice, just enough to soften the tomatoes slightly. I popped down a piece of bread to toast, once I added the tomatoes. When the toast popped, I tossed the cooked shrimp in with the tomatoes, just long enough to warm through. I put the shrimp mix on a plate and served the toast for dipping in the lovely sauce.
