What's great about these two recipes is that you could make both of them from one batch. These both use the same dough recipe and you only need half per cake.

I made Buttery Cupcakes recipe #132558 by Maïté G. tonight. They reminded me of cupcakes I had in Europe.... which are so different from American cupcakes.... They are not as sweet and are more like a muffin than a cake. I loved the buttery flavor. The three year old ate them without icing and we ate them with a german frosting... couldn't resist!

I smothered my cupcake in Coconut Pecan Frosting recipe #140466 by Rita L - and I am so glad i did.. I love german cake and it is this frosting that makes the cake so wonderful!
