I have a small Crockette bought from a friend at a garage sale; no recipe book/manual with it. Works fine for cheese dip, etc., but I'm looking for a variety of recipes. Have already searched the Net, thanks. Have found some nice looking ones for fondue, oatmeal, and apple crisp, and a nice site originally for RVers. Does anyone *here* have *tried and true* Crockette recipes? TIA!

Sorry I'm late on the reply....ISP down for several days...ACK!!! Anyway, thanks for the extensive list. Will have to check them out. The few I breezed through seem like regular crock pot sites, though.
Does anyone have any tried and true Crockette recipes? Thanks in advance.

No one here uses a Crockette, huh? It's a convenient little guy. I make sauerkraut in it (one can + applesauce + onions + caraway feeds our family), and reheat chili (frozen in perfect sized containers). It does cook hotter than a regular Crock Pot, though, which is why I was looking for some experienced opinions. If there are any **TRIED AND TRUE** recipes you have, please let me know. Thanks!

I entered "crockette recipes" in a search, and it pulled up a few recipes. Sorry, I do not have any, but I have been actually thinking of buying one. I take lots of appetizer dips to work, and it is soo convenient to not have to tote a full-size crockpot. Here is one of my favorite recipes, and I saw you mentioned sauerkraut.
Reuben Dip
1 (16 ounce) jar sauerkraut, drained
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
2 cups shredded cooked corned beef
In a slow cooker, combine the sauerkraut, cream cheese, Swiss cheese, corned beef. Cover, and cook on high for 45 minutes if you're in a hurry, low for longer if you're not, or just until hot and cheese is melted. Stir occasionally while cooking. Serve with cocktail rye or crackers.

I make my
Hot Broccoli Dip (Crockpot or Microwave) recipe #112253 in my mini crockpot. I'd guesstimate that the size is around 4 cups, so I'm assuming that's what you mean by a crockette.
My grandma often cooks 1-2 chicken breasts in hers-- just sprinkle with spices of choice. She eats them plain, or you could shred them for sandwiches or burritos.

Oooh! Thanks. Have you tried making this with cream of broccoli instead of cream of 'shroom? Wonder if that would pacify my mushroom/peppers/olive/tomato-hating children.

I think that would work fine.
We love it over baked potatoes, too, if you want to make a meal out of it.

Hope this isn't too late of a response, but just remembered I had this site....it's great for the Crockette or smaller crockpot when I'm only cooking for two!

Thanks. Yep. I got that one. Have it firmly in my cookbinder already. Have you tried any of them?
I got some smoked pork chops (quite lean, actually) for a super price yesterday. I plan to pop them in the Crockette next week with our *fave* bbq sauce (hand carried from Georgia; it's a long story) and let them fall apart. They're nearly 2" thick, so should feed all of us.
I've got to remember to use it for my side veggies!
