I just bought a crock pot and am looking for some healthy recipes - i.e. those that don't include "prepared" sauces or canned soups.

    Thanks alot!

    Super Easy Black Bean Soup

    Irish-Italian Soup

    Hamburger Chowder

I've made all of these in the crockpot, even though some of them list instructions for stovetop. They turn out great in the crockpot, no difference from stovetop.

Here are 2 of my very favorite crockpot recipes that don't call for pre-made sauces or soups:

Jolean's Crockpot Old World Sauerkraut Supper #13030

Jolean's Crockpot Spanish Chicken #130308 (To make this one healthy, substitute chicken broth for the beer it calls for...)

Good luck! I just LOVE crockpot cooking!!! icon_biggrin.gif

You could just throw lean pork chunks or a pork roast in with a few cans of green enchilada sauce. Serve over rice.

It's good, filling, flavorful and it doesn't heat up the house!
