    Newbie "Fry Cook" Poster
    I'm trying to find a vegetarian wheat and glutin free breadmaker recipe. Something like trufree has but they only sell in the UK. Im in NZ, any help welcomed thanks!

    Hot-cross Buns (gluten, Dairy and Egg Free)
    Apricot and Almond Bread (gluten, Dairy and Egg Free)
    Raisin Bread (gluten-free)
    Multi-grain Bread

    These are all large loaves, but can be made smaller by multiplying all the ingredients by 2/3. Some of these recipes can be made yeast free as well by the addition af extra baking powder.

    Buttermilk Loaf
    I replace the buttermilk in this with soy milk with about 1 tablespoon of lemon juice added. I also allow it to rise before baking. I haven't tried it in the breadmaker as yet.
    I took it to family gathering last week (made into french sticks) and it disappeared faster than the regular bread. icon_biggrin.gif


    Plain Bread.
    Gluten-free, Dairy-free, Egg-free, Vegan

    650 ml (22 fl oz) water (may vary, use less to start)
    1/3 cup oil (olive, canola or a mix of both)
    1 teaspoon cider vinegar

    1/2 cup brown rice flour
    1/2 cup besan (chickpea flour)
    2 cups white rice flour
    1 cup arrowroot
    1 tablespoon (4 tsp) xanthan or guar gum
    3 tablespoons (4 tbslp US) sugar
    1 1/2 teaspoons salt
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    6 teaspoons egg replacer (or 3 eggs and reduce water by 3/4 cup)
    1/2 cup soy milk powder
    2 1/2 teaspoons yeast granules

    Bake as per instructions for breadmaker, or as you
    normally would by hand. (See the recipes listed above for more detailed instructons).


    SMALLER LOAF

    430 ml (14 1/2 fl oz) water (may vary, use less to start)
    1/4 cup oil (olive, canola or a mix of both)
    1 teaspoon cider vinegar

    1/3 cup brown rice flour
    1/3 cup besan (chick pea flour)
    1 1/3 cups white rice flour
    2/3 cup arrowroot
    3 teaspoons xanthan or guar gum
    2 tablespoons (8 tsp) sugar
    1 teaspoons salt
    1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    4 teaspoons egg replacer (or 3 eggs and reduce water by 3/4 cup)
    1/3 cup soy milk powder
    2 1/4 teaspoons yeast granules
