Newbie "Fry Cook" Poster
This is sort of off topic but since you are talking about a German recipe could someone please help me with this recipe that I have that could be wrong but my Oma cant remember even making this cake anymore and we are all missing it! It is for Moose Kuchen. Has anyone ever heard of it???

from the description in the other thread, I could not really tell..."Moose Kuchen" is definately not an original german recipe, as we don't have any moose in Germany, BUT...please describe the cake as well as you can.....as some folks suggested..Nuss-kuchen could be it, but we really need the taste and look, maybe some ingredients etc to be able to help better, OK???]

Could it possibly be MOHN KUCHEN? Mohn is poppy seeds. Let us know. Your OMA should remember if poppy seeds where part of it.

We got that far to know, that it is "Mus" like Apfelmus and Pflaumenmus etc
I wIll try the recipe soon, am totally overwhelmed by stuff right now.
