A work colleague and I have a mutual love of food and we did a quick exchange of cookbooks. The one she has lent me is
"Wolf & Lamb - Animal Free Cooking" by Marijonas Vilkelis.
The chap has a website: http://www.heaven-on-earth-project.com
which has some really good looking vegan recipes on it. My friend swoons over his spring roll recipe and describes the cookbook as a gastronomic delight. She and her partner have been to one of his Aussie restaurants and say the food was great.

His restaruants are amazing. We've often go to the one in Lismore '20,000 cows'. Unreal. If you are ever in the area you just have to go.
He's a bit of a character though as the restaurant is only open when the combi van is out the front. icon_biggrin.gif
You sit on cushions on the floor.
No leather shoes or belts allowed. You take them off at the door.
His cookbook is fantastic. Actually it is one I always send in the cookbook swaps.

I hear that he doesn't even let people keep unopened stubbies of VB in the fridge because of the isinglass thing. Apparently Coopers is okay though icon_lol.gif
And one of the restaurants is really hard to find because it looks like it is part of the petrol station next door?
Definitely someone who perpetuates the crazy vegan stereotype but who everyone forgives because he makes great food icon_biggrin.gif

That's the Lismore one. Very hard to find. Well worth a trip though if you're down this way. His food is out of this world. Lovely, lovely man - you should see his hair though icon_eek.gif OMG - amazing. Yep, definitely is a character of the area.

I made the "Banana Carob Maple Walnut Cream" from the site last night for dessert. Oh so yummy and oh so easy. A lot like soft serve without the guilt. icon_biggrin.gif
