A few days ago I downloaded a recipe for Zwiebelfleisch in the German Cooking site. I cannot find it again. Can anyone help, please!

I know two different Zwiebelfleisch. One is a beef stew with onions, the other is thinnly cut cooked salted pork layered with onions, eaten on a sandwich.
I suppose you are looking for the first?

Here is a link for a recipe for Onion Beef or Zwiebelfleisch.
Reading it, I think 4 Tbs vinegar might be a little too much. I would start with 3 Tbs and add more if too sweet.

Thanks, Inge. That's exactly the recipe I was looking for. icon_smile.gif I'll take your advice about the vinegar.

The reason I couldn't find it in the data base is probably because of the spelling. The db lists this dish under "Zweibelfleisch" when the correct spelling is Zwiebelfleisch. Thanks for all your help.
