I'd be grateful for any good gluten free recipes for Passover, especially for things like a matzah, matzah meal, or maybe faux matzah balls for soup. I'll be grateful for any good ones, though!!! Thanks in advance for help!

I just searched around and found recipes and resources for ingredients. It will take a day or two for me to get it all on zaar. I hope that gives you time to experiment. I used to know of a mix, but I will check to see if it is still out there. I'm not Jewish, but I LOVE Matzo Ball Soup!!!

This is the best I've tried. I found a few "from scratch" recipes, but they look VERY involved and I've not seen reviews on how they turned out after all that expense and work.

Ugh, the link said 'technical difficulties'.
Well, this product is available at some stores and I get it through Dietary Shoppe

I'm sorry, I don't know what's going on with the links. I was just looking at them!!!

Thank you so much -- that may be the kind I bought a year or two ago for her, made from potato. They were tasty, but tasted like potato (not surprisingly!). I will check again and maybe they will fix the site so i can see if it's the same kind. Thanks very much again.

There are many kosher for passover gluten-free recipes posted on the websites which support people following the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, which is gluten-free, among other things. Here are some links:
www.scdiet.org
www.scdrecipe.com
www.pecanbread.com
There is also a brand new cookbook on the market, published by Feldheim Publishers (www.feldheim.com) by Tamar Ansh. It is EXCLUSIVELY kosher for passover AND gluten free! I think it is called "A Taste of Tradition." The retail cost is about $25 and there is currently a big online sale, at 20% off, I think. (And, no, I do not get royalties on the book!
Good luck!

SARAH - thanks very much. I had never heard of the specific carbohydrate diet before, but will check into it. I will likely order that cookbook as well... wish I could actually see the sort of recipes it has in it first... the frustrations of online ordering, right? In any case, thanks very much for taking the time. Each year I learn a little more and that improves the holiday experience for our daughter!

Here are my Light and Fluffy Chicken "Matzoh" Balls -- Wheatless. Hope it helps.
If you step into the Kosher/Jewish forum you might be able to get a few more answers. I never would have found your post had I not stepped into this forum (for the first time!).

Thanks so much... this one is different from any I have seen because of the ground chicken. That is interesting, but I admit I have trouble trying to picture how that works and doesn't make them too heavy. This week will be my time to experiment with all of the recipes people have been kind enough to give me, so wish me luck!!

Mirj - Thanks, but this one is not gluten-free. Matzah meal is made from matzah, which is made from wheat. I tried making some g-f matzah, but using the ground version did not work in a regular recipe. I may try to use some club soda in the recipe I am using, in place of water, and see if it lightens them up. I used one of Bette Hagman's recipes, specifically for g-f matzah balls, but they came out heavy and dense. Today is another try!
