Gay, a different kind of example:

Check out "Joel" posts. When you "Click" on his name, you get some message about needing to chose a chef. And on the main board, under who posted the response, it says NO POSTS

Also on Lali's Canned Peppers (recipe #11673) -- it says it has 2 reviews, but when I view the page, the "Be the first to add comments about this recipe" box appears. hmmmm ..... sounds pretty suspicious to me!

Do you think there could be someone hacking?? Just wondering because a day or three back, there was request for recipe for jam with less sugar, cannot remember who was asking for it but anyway I posted a reply with a recipe (there were several other replies posted)for Peach/Apricot no sugar freezer (diabetic), the recipe has never been published, I wondered why and went back to look for the original posting and can not find it anywhere, it just disapeared. I don't realy mind so much as I'm just wondering how the whole thing can just disapear.

Hey Mary, I pointed this one out to Gay, she's working on fixing it. This one isn't anything to worry about, she knows what happened. icon_smile.gif

OK you guys, the venerable Recipezaar has not been hacked icon_wink.gif. This can happen in 2 cases:

    1. It takes 24 hours for a new member's name to cycle through our system. In rare cases if someone registers and posts a review (or a recipe) on the same day, their name might not get updated before the text is posted. That is why you sometimes see "A chef" next to the Newest Recipes. [We will correct it so you at least see something on these reviews.] As you have noticed most of the recipes mentioned with this problem now have names attached.

    2. In the beginning of Recipezaar we only required an email address, not a first or last name. So you are seeing reviews from people we only have an email address for, and we don't want to post that next to their text for privacy reasons. [Again, we will start posting something so this isn't confusing, even though it is rare.]

As for this "Joel" I'm not sure what you mean, because when I search for "Joel" I get "Joel" and can click on him no problem...

As for the Peach Jam recipes...The topic is here:
    http://www.recipezaar.com/bb/viewtopic.zsp?t=263
and you will notice if you click on your recipe Dorothy, that you never hit the "done" button to finish submitting it, so it never went through our publishing queue.

(Not your fault, we also need to:
    1. get a way to search the discussion area working
    2. make these "orphaned" recipes easier to find)

so you guys sure have keen eyes to keep us busy icon_wink.gif

Gay, I didn't mean anything negative about him. When I see a post by someone and I don't know the name (which is easy as new as I am, I don't know if they've just been "quiet" or if they are new) I click on their name to read "about them". This is what I get when I click on his name. Maybe he is new? I'm sorry, I guess I just didn't word that first remark correctly.

I shall forever now remember to hit the done button.!! But curious as to why the whole thing disapeared and not just my recipe.

Yesterday I tried searching for four different chefs and the search engine could not find them. But then I went to places I knew they were listed and there they were. So maybe the search engine has some kinks in it.
