When I was younger my mom would occasionally make a challah type bread for Easter, but in the braids she would put dyed eggs. Does anyone know what I am talking about and does anyone have the directions? icon_confused.gif

What I remember about the bread was a sweet egg bread, but I'm not sure how to do the dyed egg decoration.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! icon_smile.gif

This is my moms recipe Nana's Easter Egg Babies, Rich Egg Bread recipe #113662 We usually just do white eggs but you can dye them also we do not glaze it with a sweet glaze or sprinkles but you can. We will be making about 25 loaves this weekend, hope it helps.

25 loaves! What are you doing with so many? That's a lot of bread. Sorry for being nosy, but I just had to ask icon_lol.gif

The recipe I posted makes 3 loaves so it will hopefully go quicker. I guess you could bake it on Friday it should still be okay just wrap it really tightly to keep it fresh. I usually make them on Saturday for Sunday. If you do make it and have any questions just zaar mail me I hope my directions are easy to follow.
