i will do a class on yeast bread/rolls using either a mixer with a dough hook or completely by hand.
When do you think we should do it and in what format would you like it done. Gay and Troy would like some notice in order to publicize it also.
Since bread is something we can't "do as we go" because there is so much time involved, I would prefer to post the whole class and then be available for questions.

It doesn't matter to me when it is done. I would like to be able to participate or at least observe, but that may not be possible because our schedules may not permit it since we both work. Were you thinking of a Saturday, to accomodate more of the working people, or a week day? I only am off one Saturday out of every three, with my next Sat. off being Feb. 26. Other than that, I am available on Monday mornings and anytime on Wednesdays except Feb. 16.
Feel free to set it up however you want, and choose whatever recipe you think will please most people. Will you be posting pictures, also?

I would love to post pictures for the class.
Mean - please try to choose a bread recipe that doesn't use cornmeal. It's REALLY expensive here Singapore.

Okay, sounds great! Have you decided on a recipe yet? I posted a sticky thread about classes, asking for ideas and preferences from the members.

I will pick a recipe this week. I will do a yeast bread which can be made by hand or with a mixer. We will make a loaf and some rolls out of the same dough.

I don't quite understand how you will be doing this. On the 26th do I just come to this topic and it will happen, or what?

We could come to your house, but that will cost extra.
Yes, we will do it on line here in this forum. The recipe and equipment needs will be posted well in advance.
Since bread making requires a few hours it isn't possible to have everyone do it together so you can work at your own pace. I will be avaiable to answer questions as we go.

Hey Mean,
Since I'm in PDX, I've often thought of showing up on your doorstep with bag of flour in hand and a HELP! sign around my neck.
I'm sure Shelly wouldn't mind would she??? We could do a Food 911 episode with you as Tyler, and me as the clueless bread baker wannabe.
Okay... back to your regularly scheduled topic.

 This sounds interesting.
I got out my bread machine last week and made a loaf of regular bread and well lets say it was a short loaf
but I made #95086 (Rustic Italian Bread) and it turned out great!
I may pop in on this class if I don't forget

When you get the details worked out, post the class schedule/recipe/supply list, etc. in a new thread and I will make it into a 'sticky' for you.
Also, are you going to let Troy and Gay know the details, or do you want me to contact them?
