This is amazing. I love my crockpot. Actually, I got a brand new one for Christmas. It has a timer and everything. Only 25 years to upgrade.

I am really looking forward to this forum.....just started back to school one night a week, and I will be using that crock pot for those nights.

I am a moderator with Jenny Sanders on the Canning forum....really excited about it.

Oh gosh, I am jealous.....that is what I want.....in fact, it is on the list of things to get right away. I leave the house around 6 am on Thursdays, and don't return until around 10 pm. Don't think there are any foods out there that need to cook in the crockpot that long!!!!!

I'm new to the crockpot. Recieved one for Christmas and have used it twice so far, so this will be great for me. icon_cool.gif

And a Beau who does dishes! (I'll take that over being able to cook) icon_wink.gif

I'm excited about this forum and the canning one as well! I didn't can much last year, but I've since found that if I do a major canning thing every other year, it works out great for The Beau and I, since it's just the two of us, plus all the goodies I'm able to give away as gifts. And this is my year for getting another round going!!!

I don't use my crockpot weekly, but I sure love it as an "accessory". Making a stock, making oatmeal, making a simple dessert while I have my hands full making dinner for guests, making a soup to take for dinners before night school, etc. I haven't posted my crockpot recipes just yet, but I'm-a-gettin' on it! I only submit a couple of recipes at a time, so it's all a matter of time.

I WILL, however, share my bestest tip for crockpotting. shhh.gif I typically shop at thrift stores and that's where I got my crockpot several years ago, still going strong. It doesn't have a timer, which is fine by me, but what I do is plug it into a lamp timer. No kidding. For oatmeal, I set it to turn on in the wee hours and it's ready when I get up in the morning without being overcooked. You get the idea....
