    It is salty, but you eat this with other dishes and salad.
    I warm countries the people need salt and salt is a good preservative for the cheese.
    The only thing I find strange in Halloumi is that it squeaks a little bit under the teeth!

    I have to prepare a fast dinner as I will go out soon.
    Looking for recipes for the Australian Recipe Swap game I found:

    Chargrilled Vegetable and Haloumi Salad #503853 By **Jubes**

    This was a speedy choice!

    This is under Greek, but there is a lot of halloumi in Turkey.

    I did not have much time to choose the recipe, but this was a great choice.
    I prepared a huge amount of vegetables (read review) that I got for good price a couple of days ago (3 bell peppers for about one dollar) and the halloumi mentioned a few days ago. The romana salad was form the Turkish shop as well as this kind of salad is very popular in Turkey as well as in Greece.

    I started to prepare it at 18:25 (FC time 12:25), at 19:10 we were already sitting and enjoying:
