Leggy Peggy, I have a feeling that I would never be able to do the type of traveling you and Big John do. I used to love traveling but as my body gets worse, things have to be let go. The pictures I see in your blog and that I get when others travel are excellent in letting me accept this.

Jacqueline, I agree that things are not the way they should be here. I am not well enough to even help fix it anymore. I am glad that you are able to sign in again.

I was able to exercise for 10 minutes today so that is good news. The recliners are very comfortable. I am going to try to do at least 10 more today. My doctor wants me to exercise when I can. She says if my body hurts too much or if I am coughing and having a hard time breathing, to not even try. I plan to do what I can when I can.

Laury, I think your doctor's advice is exactly right. Do what you can, when you can, and don't worry about it either.

We feel lucky that we can travel because we realise that won't always be the case.

Laury, what an awesome gift from your sister. It will probably help on those days you have aching all over to kick back the recliner and relax. Might help take some pressure off your lungs too. When we did anaphylaxis training they told us to put the kid in a reclining position, to help him breath better after a epi-pen shot. Happy are listening to your Dr and only exercising when you can.

Leggy Peggy, glad to hear you are enjoying your trip. Can you post a link to your blog. I would like to check it out. Enjoy the food too. I debate on going to a East Indian restaurant because I worry that things would be spicy and I wouldn't find anything for the kids to eat.

Jacqueline, good to see you again. Not that I haven't been keeping up with you on FB. I do work like a dog and even bring things from home to help me at work. If needed I will bring my food processor, sheet pans, KitchenAid mixer, etc. What ever I need to do some work for me. There are times now that I have some down time between breakfast and recess. I really lucked out because the new secretary likes to come help me in the kitchen, between her and the janitor I get lots of help for these big lunches I have to make. Hope your emotions start to lift soon.

Me, well I am holding on. This past week I have been tired. Waking in the morning to my legs feeling like they are over worked. So I have been sitting as much as I can. Thankfully it was a short week with Remembrance Day on Monday. Tuesday I was silly enough to bring kids into the kitchen. We only had 9 kids in the school, as the others were on a field trip. We baked Brownies at recess instead of heading outside. Friday we drove both vehicles to town after work to buy tires for hubby's SUV. He put them on while I picked up dinner in town. I did help store them away, thankfully it was dark out already, as I know there are lots of spider webs in the shed. There were so many on the tires we took to the dump last week and they were outside the shed. Then today we slept in, but we were running all over town because the tires hubby got the rims were too small, we had both vehicles again. Me and the kids did the grocery shopping and some Christmas shopping. The kids picked up presents for each other today.

I have been totally impressing myself though. Last Saturday we decided to do a dump run. We didn't find much in the house to go, so hubby decided to finally go through the tires and rims we had out by the shed. We been piling them up with every vehicle we bought. Well as he sorted them I rolled them to the truck. Then hubby closed the tail gate and I grabbed a tire with rim and just as I was lifting it hubby said I should get my son to help. I got it up onto the top of the tailgate, the top is about shoulder height to me. I did that with 4-5 tires. Then on Thursday at work the janitor filled a big water jug for our afternoon volleyball game. She was able to lift it out of the sink but knew she couldn't get it to the cooler so asked a 16 yr old boy if he could come carry it to the cooler. He came in looked at it and said no it was about 60 lbs and he couldn't do it. I walked over, grabbed it with my left (weaker) arm and carried it to the cooler, no problems other than the spout being open. Believe me it wasn't 60 lbs, 22 Liters is about 49 lbs.

Opps forgetting to act like a wimpy woman. Hubby might catch on to me. And the teen boys I love showing them up.

tasb, I think we're going to have to call you WonderWoman. Nice muscle work!

Here's my blog http://leggypeggy.com and a pic from the other day of a tiger we saw up close. As you can see, this one has a monitor collar.

tasb, there is no day when my body from the neck down doesn't hurt. The muscle cramps and muscle spasm can make an part hurt more. The pain in the lungs is something entirely extra. The recliners are great for taking care of my body.
I am very impressed how strong you are!! Changing one of the water bottles is very difficult. Even before I had arthritis I couldn't do it.

Leggy Peggy, reading your blog and looking at the photos make me feel as if I am seeing the sites as well.

Yesterday and today I have been able to walk for 20 minutes. I hope to be able to do the same Monday and Tuesday because Tom has doctors appointments.

    Merry Christmas Everyone.

I am still around, not doing much in the way of exercise, but I am recovering from over working myself at work.
