No yeast involved in this week's challenge! Challenge #4 will be Biscuits and Scones! Well, I guess some biscuits, such as angel biscuits, do have yeast. I know some people are biscuit-challenged so maybe we can all learn a thing or two for better biscuits and scones by sharing our techniques and recipes!

Oh yes, I've been on a LONG journey trying to find the perfect biscuit recipe and have also learned to enjoy scones in so many forms - this is going to be so much fun icon_biggrin.gif

Mad my biscuits with Creme Fraiche Biscuits (Cajun/Creole for ZWT-9) and they were great - so light and fluffy

I made homemade soup and biscuits for this challenge. I made a Kashmiri Carrot Soup and Cheese Biscuits.

The soup is from a small cookbook put out for schools. I think it was better when I made it last year with homegrown carrots instead of the store bought I used this year. The biscuits were a BH&G recipe, for Baking Powder Biscuits. I used a buttermilk substitute and added 1/2 cup shredded cheddar.
