This is a Filderkraut cabbage. An heirloom variety, it is becoming more popular in the U.S. because the conical shape is better adapted to small gardens. Jung carries Filderkraut seeds, as do several heirloom suppliers.

I tried some one year, the cabbage worms decimated it before I noticed and could have sprayed with bT. Might try again, as garden space is a big issue for me.

Another good conical cabbage is called Early Jersey Wakefield, which I grow every year. I posted a picture of it in my blog here: http://www.amythielen.com/post/60417190600/a-big-hearted-vegetable

Amy, promoting your own blog in a forum is not allowed, as it's unpaid advertising. You can post a link to it on your personal page, though.
