Hello my menu peeps!!!! I love the faithful few we have here. icon_smile.gif

Sorry I flaked so much last week. I developed severe vertigo! I was so limited on what I could do. Finally went to the doctor midweek and he gave me a patch to help with it. I don't know how much it really worked, but I think finally today it is gone.

Now that ZWT is over, I'm back to making my usual stuff or what I call 'usual'

    Here's my menu. Share yours!!

Saturday - going to a Murder Mystery Dinner with my middle DS. He gave this to me as a birthday present.

Sunday - Breaded Fried Cube Steak and Milk Gravy with mashed potatoes and green beans

Monday - Crock pot beef and green chile stew over rice and salad

Tuesday - Ravioli With Brown Butter and Sage Sauce with salad and bread

Wednesday - Slow cooker Honey Soy Chicken and Noodles, with slaw or salad

Thursday - paninis - whatever strikes my fancy that day

Friday - leftovers or out to eat.

Many sites have had less and less participation. Facebook, printerest, etc, seem to be taking over. Such as the times. I still enjoy seeing the menus. But, I have to plan with cooking for others ... although this week, still nursing my injury. Actually, my knee is 90%; but, my foot, I guess from favoring my knee is really sore. Just keep nursing it, is all.
Vertigo, ouch, sounds very uncomfortable; my friend had it as well.
I changed around too last week; also, this week could change - but, my overall plans stay the same.
    -----------------------------------------------------
    TONIGHT ...
Out for late lunch/early dinner with friend. Our seafood shack/restaurant.
Broasted oysters, shrimp, clams, chowder, fries, beer will all be involved.

    SUN ...
Burger with pimento cheese (made Fri) and topped with a onion rings; 4 bean salad, fruit

    MON ...
Eggs over black beans (leftover from Fri), salsa, queso fresco, rice, peaches or melon. Sort of Huevos Rancheros

    TUES ...
A friend over for dinner - Baked crab stuffed tilapia (recipe TBD); broccoli; cucumber and olive salad

    WED ...
Cabbage soup of some kind (a few recipes in mind); grilled pimento cheese sandwiches on homemade bread; fruit

    THURS ...
Ravioli w/roasted red pepper and pea sauce; green salad with homemade balsamic dressing; toasted baguette with fresh mozz

    FRI ...
    Poker night; TBD

    Hi,

I am back, too, or trying to be. We had a medical situation in the family and on top of it my daughter had pinkeye and then a separate fever and was out of daycare; all exactly at a time when I was really busy with work. So I have been very "creative" with dinners lately, but always managed to cook something. I have been continuing in that vein lately because I haven't been able to plan before shopping, so I am just using fallbacks. We had planned a beach trip 11th-18th but it looks like we will delay because of being so busy.

Sat - made a thing with leftover pasta that had brussels sprouts, canned salmon, and a dijony sauce

Sun - made a big thing of grits/polenta so that we can have polenta fries later in the week; Sun we had flattened polenta cakes (round) with sauteed leafy greens, tuna, and goat cheese

Mon - burgers, corn on the cob, broccoli

Tue - I think will be broiled salmon with polenta fries and green beans

Wed - probably a made-up white bean soup with a small amount of bread that we need to use up

Thu - we may be leaving for the beach; if not maybe a chicken mole kind of thing that we can have the leftovers from when we get back

Fri - pretty definitely at the beach by then ... we will be with my inlaws; I usually contribute to meal efforts but at least for the first few days I am going to catch my breath on the planning/prep side and just be the cleanup girl.

Everyone seems to have a great plan. Crazy weeks ... yes. I think we have all had ups and downs.

Great that everyone is still able to cook a nice dinner.
