*Jubes*, great photos!! A nice surprise -- do post more here, you're such a good photographer!

Love the salad close-ups! icon_biggrin.gif Your light is really good, especially in #1, #3 and the lovely dessert. The colours, of course, are great for food photos. I think I'll make a real Greek salad tonight. icon_lol.gif

    Thanks Zurie icon_biggrin.gif

Would you believe in #1 that I am just holding the plate near my kitchen window with one hand and snapping the pic with the camera in the other ?

The third photo is outside at lunchtime in my herb garden.

I'm loving Greece for this round of the tour yummy.gif

I find close-ups to be much easier for me- no need to worry about the background much and the focus is definitely on the food.

Julie, you made me laugh out loud here. With glee. Such a good photo, and you were holding it in your hand!! icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

It made me think back to the drama and tantrums I have seen, of photographers in studios -- with assistants and all the right lights and props -- and very often their food photos did not turn out as good as yours, and others who get posted here!

    Good for you!

    Jubes fantastic photos!

That first photo is world class and that you were holding in one hand and shooting with the other wow.

Love how you even managed to end with a fruit salad that could double as a dessert.

Yep...just breathe in and shoot (with camera on fully auto and macro settings) icon_lol.gif

Now staging of photos is really what I need to work on. I just can't seem to get shots right from further back and seem hopeless at organising props.
