When I load the recipe page in Chrome (http://www.food.com/recipe/worlds-best-butter-cookies-50684) and I have my Javascript console open, I get the following messages. They're not errors but I wonder if any of these are interfering with the code. This is what I get just on page load; I haven't even clicked a link yet.

    Hi Mary, wave.gif

I just posted 5 new recipes to the site. The 1st 3 worked fine. The last 2 I can't find anywhere. Not in my public or private recipes. icon_confused.gif

Here's the email confirmation that I received. Both emails have no link on them.

Do I need to re-submit them?

Lazyme, that's EXACTLY what happened to me a few weeks ago. The why of it was never answered, but the recipes did turn up in a day or so, although I never did get links with the recipe numbers in them. Don't re-submit, they'll turn up. This is obviously an intermittent bug. One more in an awfully long list, it seems.

This is my first experience with food.com and unfortunately it has not be a good one. Not being able to save a recipe makes the site extremely limited in terms of usefulness.

There may still be the odd recipe I like here but I'm going back to allrecipes.com. It's been a slice. I'm outta here.

I know you're trying to help. Thank you. I'm not bitter, just looking for a recipe site that I like. I'm sure you understand.

Absolutely and would love for you to find that here. Can you email us some screenshots of what you are experiencing to help@food.com as well?

Screenshots wouldn't help because they don't show anything. There is no error, no status message, no action indicator, absolutely nothing. The page does not reload or even flicker. Nothing happens. It's like I never clicked on anything.

The only extensions I have installed (in Chrome) are 20-20 3D Viewer for IKEA 5.0.94.1 and Web Developer 0.4.3. The messages I posted earlier are from my Chrome developer tools console.

It doesn't appear to be our site. I think it's an issue with something you have on your computer that is not compatible with our site, as everything is working fine on our end. That's why all the questions. Not sure what it could be.

I have been unable to save recipes or post private notes to recipes for about 3 months, after I started using a new touchscreen laptop. I believe it has something to do with some kind of touchscreen compatibility issue. I don't know if my issue is at all related to yours. Thought I'd share it with you just in case. This is the only website I have a problem with.

After I first posted this problem way back in May, I heard back from Mary at Food.com a couple times and then nothing. No resolution. I'm more than frustrated by this. I can do everything I want to on my husband's netbook, my Android phone, and my Samsung tablet. But not on my touchscreen laptop (which is my primary device). I've heard that others using touchscreens have similar problems but there is no way to search this forum to find similar issues! ARGH! How inefficient can this get???
