Hey... I'm new on here and I want to get to know everyone or at least most of you. Hmmm... About me.... I am a weight trainer in Traverse City, Michigan and I love it! I have been a weight trainer for about 3 years now and I love it, nothing better I tell you what. I love helping people that want to either lose weight or build muscle. I think thats why I made a diet and fitness website which you can find in my profile. I am helping 5 different people right now and it tickles me to see how bad they want it. Man I love my job! Please post a comment and say hi. Well I will talk to you all later. Take care everyone!

kittykare, most anything you fix the salt can be left out of, now that would not include baked goods, such as cakes, cookies, and breads, but for what you should be eating it is fine to just leave the salt out. There are salt substitutes out there and also Mrs. Dash has some wonderful flavors now.

I also recommend you stay on the outer aisles of the grocery store. Fresh is always better when trying to lose weight and cut down sodium. Fresh fruits and veggies work wonders, you are going to get a little salt with anything but no added salt this way. Meats season with one of the man no salt flavorings you can find at the grocery. Garlic powder and onion powder are two of my main go tos. If you like Chinese food use the lower sodium soy sauce, if you desire Mexican make your own seasonings leaving out the salt. As far as recipes I have none, I just make what I want and omit the salt.

Below are some links to salt free or low sodium seasonings:
