Tasb as always you have been busy. Are you a friend of mine on FB? If not I'd love to be your friend. Mine is Jacqueline Coldiron and right now there is a picture of my father on it.

Laury, I will be praying extra hard for you for your lung biopsy and that all goes well and they do get some answers.

Peggy have a great and safe trip.

Yesterday, I flipped my riding lawn mower over and me and it landed in the middle of the street. Scared me half to death but today I am not even sore and didn't figure I'd even be able to move. All I can say is the Lord was with me and I am one blessed and lucky person because it could have very easily have killed me. Went to my new bariatric surgeon today, had only lost those 3 lbs but she was pleased, told me to up my exercise and water intake. Going to have an EGD to see if there is a problem with my "Pouch" aka stomach that could be keeping me from losing better, it isn't until the middle of July and I am glad. I don't know why but I am still shaking on the inside from the accident yesterday. See my PCP tomorrow and then I have to figure out a way to get more exercise in. I wish I loved to exercise or even liked it, but I hate it.

Hope everyone is having a great week.

Leggy Peggy, have fun on your truck trip!!

tasb, it's wonderful that you did well with the health inspector.

Jacqueline, I'm very happy that you aren't even hurt! I would have guessed that you would be. I can understand that you aren't going to want to exercise because I usually don't want to. I do it early in the morning before it gets too hot. That's how I get myself motivated.

I am kind of worried about tomorrow. There was a young doctor who I think is still in training. (He could be an intern.) He examined me first. Then the doctor I'm assigned to eventually, like an hour later, came in and explained what would be happening with the biopsy. He is from the Middle East and I couldn't understand everything he was saying.
He was telling me what could happen and all the dangers. It was a little upsetting until Tom explained that what he was saying could but won't happen. I doubt I will be posting tomorrow. I think in the morning I will be too nervous and afterwards I will be too groggy.

Laury, I understand you worrying, but the Lord says He won't put more on us than we can handle so just keep that in mind. I have wished many times that He didn't have so much confidence in me, but apparently He knows I can make it through. You know it is so easy to say no worry but so hard to do. I know what I am having is just a little ole EGD but I have already been worrying about the IV they will start to put me to sleep. I am so hard to stick and it drives me crazy being stuck over and over.

Do you think the guy you saw prior to the main doctor could have been a PA? I know here, in most offices you see a PA first, then the doctor.

I am off to fix breakfast and then to exercise while it is cooking. I have an appointment with my PCP this afternoon so much get ready for that.

Have a good day everyone and do what has to be done. icon_smile.gif

Leggy Peggy, have an awesome trip.

Jacqueline, I added you as a friend of FB, my name is Tammy Lougheed, the picture is my pink ribbon bead work. I am happy you are ok after flipping your lawnmower. That is scary. Happy to hear that you lost 3 lbs so far. I hope the new surgeon turns out to help you lots. I don't blame you for not liking exercise. I am making excuses not to do mine right now. It has been 10 days since I last exercised.

Laury, you will be in my thoughts tomorrow. I hope all goes well. I know how you feel about not understanding a Dr. The Councillor my son is seeing is African, there are some words I have a hard time understanding. Sometimes it is hard because my ears ring too when I am having an allergy attack which makes it worse.

Me, I am still relaxing. I am almost caught up on my sleep, I would be if I could just sleep in. I was up 4:30 this morning, after falling asleep after 11 last night. I think I am a little stressed as my first born's birthday is on Monday, he would have been 18 this year. He has been on my mind alot the past couple weeks. I was too distracted (with all that was going on with my sister) in December to think too much about him, other than a few tears on his death anniversary. But putting myself out there and talking with 2 other bereaved mothers has helped me get stronger and more accepting of his death. I started taking Vitamin B12 this weekend. I think that has helped me stay awake, and feel less stressed. I have been so tired the past few months, to the point of taking a nap. I hope with the extra B12 that I might be able to start cutting out my 3rd cup of coffee.

Laury have been thinking of you off and on all day and have sent up some prayers, too. Hope you are doing OK.

Tasb, about that B-12 are you using the sub-lingual kind? That is what works best according to my PCP and the bariatric classes I have gone to say. Tasb, I don't think that I knew you had lost a child. Prayers for you, also as you go through this anniversary period of his birthday.

    Much love to all.

Gosh, I'm thinking of all of you!

Safe and fun travels for LeggyPeggy
Glad you weren't hurt badly in your accident, Jacqueline.
Hoping you got thru your test ok, Laury.
And Tasb you've been working hard, I wish for you rest and peace in your time of need.

As for me, I checked my weight for the end of the month - and unfortunately, its the same as last month!
I think the heat may be to blame. My wedding ring is harder to take off, so I think I'm retaining water due to the summer temps. I'm definitely drinking plenty of water, but every summer my ring does get tighter. I'm still walking 1 or 1.5 miles every day, so I think I'm doing ok no matter what the scale says.

Recipe Reader, does sound like you are retaining some fluid, I tend to do that in the summer, too. Sounds like you are making progress just by sticking to your exercise.

Jacqueline, the hospital I go to is a teaching hospital. The U of Florida and Shands hospital work together. I think the doctor who saw me first was either an intern, resident or fellow. He is excellent.

tasb, I can understand your being stressed near the time your child died. I will have to try the Vitamin B12 near the time my mother passed away. I will be praying for you.

Recipe Reader, if you keep walking 1 1/2 miles a day, and watch what you eat, you will lose weight.

For myself, I am totally exhausted. Both my doctor and the young doctor were there for my procedure. I am sure they waited for my doctor to show up before they started. (This doctor is never on time for an appointment. He is there when he feels like it.) The young doctor even went out and explained to Tom in the waiting room what was going to take place. I appreciate that he did that. I think it will take some time before I am back to normal and exercising like I want.

I was told that I would be told the end of this week. Since there is a holiday, I will probably find out the beginning of next week. I am doing okay. I do have a sore throat, which may not have anything to do with the test. Tom has a sore throat also. My breathing was better before the test because I couldn't eat or drink anything before the test Thursday. When I got dehydrated, my breathing got worse. I am wearing oxygen full time for a while and drinking liquids.

I was able to exercise twice today. I then started wheezing and coughing so I am done for the day.

Peggy, have fun in South America!!

Jacqueline, good work on mowing your grass!!

I was able to do 3 walks today! I keep falling asleep, however, and it is hurting to breathe. Tom is off doing errands so I was able to push myself more than I usually can. I don't want to have to use oxygen again today.
