Looking for a recipe of Chicago's Burney Bros. yellow cake with chocolate frosting. It was the best cake!

Burny Brothers sold their business decades ago to Entenmann's, who still makes a yellow cake with fudge icing. Does this look similar to what you remember?

    Here is this interesting info:

    BURNY BROS. BAKERY -
    http://burnybros.blogspot.com/
Burny Brothers Bakery was founded in 1910 in Chicago, Illinois by a working-class immigrant family, and grew to become a successful, uniquely American enterprise.
The founding family sold its interest in 1963 to Beatrice Foods Co., which in turn sold the wholesale division in 1976, and in 1979 sold the retail division, brand, and remaining assets to Entenmann's Bakery of New York, at which time the Burny Bros. Bakery/Burny Bakers brand was removed from the retail market.

And this is the description of that special cake:
ENTENMANN'S - THICK FUDGE ICED GOLDEN CAKE -

"Buttery golden cake iced with rich chocolate fudge make this decadent dessert a favorite".

This is a very similar recipe for that delicious cake:

"This was an awesome cake! I have been looking for a recipe similar to the Entenmann's Fudge Iced Golden Cake and this is it. My DH is from Jersey and we can't get the Entenmann's Golden Cake out here in the Midwest. We have went so far as to special order them from Entenmann's and have them shipped.....very costly. Well I made this last night and my DH couldn't quit raving about it, said it's even better than his dear Entenmann's. I didn't use your fudge icing recipe. The recipe I used is a pour on icing that sets up like fudge, just like the Entenmann's version. I also baked this in a 9x13 glass dish at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Once again...this is fabulous!".

And this is another similar winner:

CLASSIC YELLOW CAKE WITH FUDGE FROSTING RECIPE -
    http://www.kingarthurflour.com/blog/2011/12/26/classic-yellow-cake-with-chocolate-frosting-only-in-america/
"What makes this cake classic? In our book, a "classic" yellow cake — read, '60s box-mix style, like Mom used to make — is marked by its pleasing moistness, its easy sliceability (no crumbling, please) and simple vanilla flavor. This cake has it all, and more: the fudge frosting on top is, well, the icing on the cake!
