    simple salad dressings

I'm lactose intolerant, diabetic, etc. My cooking skills are umm intermediate I guess. I'd like to have a couple simple recipes for salad dressings now that the weather is warmer. I know how to do oil and vinegar. I'd like to know how to do French dressing. I got a bottle of it and the ingredients list high fructose corn syrup first, and most of them have that. So maybe it's better if I just make my own.

I don't see anything in these that should cause problems with lactose intolerance, I did notice they all have sugar but I think you could substitute splenda or another sweetener, even honey if desired. The last one even states this and I know the person that submitted this recipe is diabetic.

You can also do a search for whatever type of dressing you want, it should bring up 100's.

Thanks for visiting us and please come back.

well, I know I could have just as easily and more quickly gotten 100's of recipes just by googling. Would you have preferred if I didn't post here? I thought you might have something interesting to say and I haven't posted in a long time. Sorry I bothered you.

You were no bother, I am the only host of this forum and I do my best with it. I can't be here every day and I know nothing about being lactose intolerant because I am not. I am how ever a diabetic. I am happy you posted, because this forum has really no activity other than the Feeling Fit Friends. I did the best I know how to do with your question. I am sorry if I did not help you any and if I offended you.

Jackie did not suggest you google, Rainbow. She gave you a number of recipes that seem to fit your requirements, which you have not acknowledged. She did suggest searching, since you may have some other requirements other than lactose free and diabetic friendly. Please keep in mind that people who are not themselves lactose-intolerant or diabetic do not classify their recipes as lactose-free or diabetic friendly, so you are better off doing a more general search, then use the sifter to sift out recipes that use ingredients you need to avoid.

I actually did a pretty thorough search and found 100's of recipes before I posted here. I actually thought it might be an interesting topic and lend to some discussion of favorites. I didn't know that the forum was inactive and would be a bother to post in and expect enthusiastic replies. You're right that it's easy to google for recipes, so that's not why I posted. I had done that previously because one of the things in life I do is research. No, I actually really thought it might be interesting. sorry. and I am done with this thread.

lol thanks for your advice to just use google instead of looking here. As you can see I haven't participated here in a long time and am taking that advice.
