There is not an app available yet. I've heard the team is shooting for some time in 3rd quarter, but that is a tentative date and as we know by now, can also be moved. Let's keep our fingers crossed! icon_smile.gif

I just wanted to scream when i read this. Two years late....and it is STILL tentative? I know i have posts out here about this that are at least that old, Outrageous. I suggest that the head of this project resign OR hire two or three junior high schol age kids to get it done next momth! Whoever is in charge of this is certainly not an effective project manager. I certainly would have had him / her gone by this time. Is no one accountable for this failure? It just goes on and on and on.......and it has for ever two years. Obviously, the folks who are supposed to get this done have never tried to use the system from a handheld device! Give us a commitment. Who is assigned a project with no due date? All we hear is " maybe."

Ok...so now it's nearly mid-way through September of 2013...ANY word at all on an app in the forseeable future? If it would speed the process along, i for one, would be more than willing to pay for it...i have no problem with it not being "free", i'm sure a large number of other members would feel the same way! I cannot TELL you how awesome and convenient a Food.com app would be! icon_biggrin.gif

We have an Everyday is a Food Holiday app, but not a Food.com site app at this time.

I'm kind of a techno dunce so please bear with me.
I have a smart phone and get email alerts so when traveling I can always read new posts. I cannot however sign in and respond. I can scroll through a forum but can't open up any topic other than the one I received the alert for.
I cannot sign in and therefore can't reach cookbooks or recipes etc.

Is this inability because I am a techno dunce, my phone isn't equipped or set up right or is this the absent 'app' that everyone has been waiting for?

Told you I knew squat. icon_smile.gif

What type of a device are you using and what OS version is installed? That will help to better understand why this may not be working for you.

I highly doubt you are a techno dunce, more likely it just isn't compatible

Its a 3 yo Samsung Focus. A windows 7 phone I believe but will not warrant icon_lol.gif
It has IE but I have no clue what version.
I'm due for an upgrade at the end of January so maybe it will sort itself out then.
I tried to see if I could pick a forum from Talk and Tips but it just tells me to 'join us on our full site'. When I try to sign in it doesn't say my password is incorrect, it just doesn't do anything other than remain on the page I was already on.

I think it is likely a compatibility issue too. It makes me feel marginally better about duncedom. icon_wink.gif

I just joined food.com today. I am requesting that my account be closed. The amount of advertising and pop-ups would make food.com less annoying, if there was a mobile app.
