Mark Bittman's Basic Roast Chicken Parts With Variations

And Carrie's Rich Rolls or Bread (Basic Recipe) With Variations I made 3 variations with this and it's so much fun, some techniques I'd never tried before and this recipe showed me how, I love it

    Here's bread loaf variation

and flaky variation which I had a LOT of fun with - this is probably my favorite

and last the clover leaf variation:

I'm here to tell what I had for dinner icon_biggrin.gif

Started meal with coconut shrimp with a spicy Thai sauce while the rest of the group shared mussels in a garlic wine sauce.

Then I actually had an appetizer for my dinner called Bang Bang Shrimp and a cup of corn & crab chowder.

I also had a Hawaiian Martini with coconut rum, lime juice, pineaaple and guava juice with an orchid floating in it. Gorgeous!

DD had steak, scallops and shrimp sampler with augratin potatoes and zucchini
DH had grilled grouper, augratin potatoes and zucchini
MIL had tilapia, zucchini and quinoa
    BF had fish in chips

For dessert we left the restaurant and stopped and had Italian gourmet water ice. I am stuffed to say the least.
