I want to cook about 28 pieces of sausage with peepers and onions and some sauce in my slow cooker for dinner tonight at 8pm. How long do I need to cook it for and should I cook it on low or high?

The average seems to be 2 to 4 hours on low - of course the sausage should be browned first.
