    I don't even know if Mark Bittman is a chef, or not, but he was the Food Editor for the NY Times. All of his recipes are simple and, well, simply fantastic! Can you tell I am a fan? His latest book is called, "How to Cook Everything!" Now he is an occasional contributor.

    Not that I know of Bonnie. He contributes to the NY Times. However, I think I saw him as a judge for Iron Chef America.

    We are finally getting some much needed rain. I think we are down by 17 inches! I still have crap to plant. Do you know, my DH hates hostas? Who hates hostas? But I found a place to put them that doesn't offend his sensibilities.

    I have made and reviewed the following recipes:

    *Mark Bittman's Basic Roast Chicken Parts With Variations#439793 by blucoat#225426and
    (used chicken breasts, parsley, thyme and garlic chives with a little pesto rubbed on the chicken and added the shallots, garlic and mushrooms)
    *Everyday Vinaigrette With Lots of Variations#216121 by Chef #333077#333077.
    (added parsley, thyme, garlic chives and some parmesan grated.)

    Both are wonderful recipes that I will make again and in different ways. yummy.gif

    Not hostile. He just doesn't "get" them. Neither does his yard guy. He keeps moving my plants to weird places. And he keeps cutting my lily of the valley. I am going to kill him.

    Oh I LOVE hostas AND Lilly of the Valley - I'd have to kill anyone that cut or moved them - such great shade plants
