Everything here is going okay. I just finished my exercising for the 3rd day. I get Thursday off and then spend another 4 days exercising. Have a good, easy week all!!

A little less treadmill and a bit more packing happening here. Seven weeks seems like a long time until you wander around looking at all of the 'stuff'. icon_sad.gif

I'm trying to be very selective and donate 50% of cookbooks and everything I haven't used in a year. I really have little use for cut glass deviled egg holders and Tea Sets and............... well you know icon_wink.gif

Trying to eat at least 2/3rd plant based meals. DH is less than thrilled icon_lol.gif

Oh yikes, the cookbooks. What's on page 32?
I have the http://cookingonpage32.wordpress.com blog and would love it if
you hang on to cookbooks with great recipes on page 32. I promise to come
pick them up one day. Okay?

lol Peggy - we can do this a couple of ways...
before I toss/donate any book I will check page 32 and photocopy it. I can then scan and email you the pages as attachments. Alternately I can just rip the pages out and mail them to you.
Is it only page 32 or 132, 232 etc?

The third way is to hold them hostage until you pick them up icon_lol.gif

Wow, K9! All three options are okay, but really the first option is
probably the best for you as you don't want to hang on to them AND
I don't want you tearing out pages. icon_eek.gif

In addition to a scan of the recipe, I also need a pic of the cover and
the publishing details—author, number of pages, publisher, place, year.
Or there's a fourth option—which you could tackle after the move—make
    a guest contribution.

And I'll stop hijacking this thread now and we can discuss by zmail. icon_redface.gif

K9 Owned, that's a good idea to get rid of anything you haven't used in a year!! Having foods mostly from plants makes a very healthy diet.

Peggy, I will look at page 32 of all my cookbooks and see if there is something interesting there. I did go and check out your blog today.

I have good news and some not so good news. Good news is my sister who has been having dizzy spells and gone to doctors, had tests, physical therapy went to a specialist on Monday. It turns out he feels all that is wrong or caused the dizzy spells is she was dehydrated. We both have been told we were dehydrated by our dentist for years.
The not so good news is I either have a cold or a sinus infection. I did walk 1 10 minutes today before I noticed that I was coughing too much. I hope to exercise again starting Friday. I have been told that I am stumbly this morning so I know that exercise is over.

Thanks Laury. It will be interesting to hear what you have on your page 32s.

Sorry to hear you are well again. Colds'sinus infections seems so simple,
but are really such a nuisance.

It's great news about your sis because dehydration is so easy to correct.
My hubby's aunt lived with us from the time she was 89 until she went into
demented aged care at 97. It was a constant battle to get her to drink
enough liquid. And of course, I had to carry out the battle on the sly so she
didn't resist. We had lots of soups and morning and afternoon teas. I kept a
    mental tally every day.

Hope everyone else is doing well. My weight is holding. Too busy to focus
on bringing it down at the moment, but hoping life will calm down soon.

Leggy Peggy, I sure hope you meant you are sorry to hear that I am sick again. icon_smile.gif I hope that your life calms down also.

tasb, that is fantastic news about your sister!!!

I am still not feeling well so I am not exercising today. All I want to do today is go back to sleep. I rarely sleep in the daytime so this is kind of surprising.

Peggy, you are so right about the dehydration. My friend's mother appeared to be demented - it was very sudden. I suggested that she work with the facility on hydration, and this made a huge improvement, to the point that mom can stay in ALE instead of having to be transferred to a secure ward. As they say, by the time you feel thirsty, you are already dehydrated, so it's important to drink fluids regularly during the day.

Some of the medications we take are or act as diuretics, and that makes the problem worse.

Wow, can you all believe it is already Thursday evening? I have been reading but not posting. I love the idea of the cookbooks page 32 for a blog. I haven't been to yours yet but will before the day is out I bet. I gave over 1000 cookbooks aways this past summer. I have that many more I am sure.

Laury and tasp hope you both are feeling better. I am doing great feeling wise but diet wise I suck. I was in a dressing room in Kingsport TN today and looked at myself in the mirror and all but cried. I have to get this weight back off me.

Just wanted to let you all know that I may not be posting for the next little while. I have a medical issue (heart) that is derailing my work out plans and I'm scheduled for a bunch of tests in the next week or two.

I know that you guys would be very supportive but I find it easier to cope if I'm not talking about it much.

I'll be back when this is resolved. In the meantime, keep up the great work!

Wishing you health and happiness. icon_smile.gif
