    Yes never use chicken anything and mansef. My husband is the certified mansef maker for our masjid. He is Jordanian and according tithe Arabs a great cook like home. We never use chicken flavouring. We use yogurt (liquid type from halal store in gallon jug) and lamb. We use a bread that is paper thin and rice. Oh yeah almonds. That's mansef. Also it is meant to eat by hand if you want to eat like our family.

    Jameed is a solidified dry yougurt ball, now stores sell in a container and it has been liquified, I like this version a lot better....most middle eastern stores carry it...I prefer the ziyad brand[/quote]
