    I know, right? icon_lol.gif

A few years ago I had a neighbor in my apt complex who walked their pug that made a similar strange screech noise instead of barking. It sounded like someone was scraping their fingernails across a chalk boar and kicking a sick kitten at the same time. It was very unnerving.

Pugs sometimes have weird voices because thru selective breeding their faces are all smashed flat and they have weird ear/nose/throat issues. But they are still so damn cute.
