Years ago, my late mother-in-law made a recipe called apple pudding. It was more of a very moist cake containing grated or diced apples, and it was served with a delicious sauce made from evaporated milk. My mother-in-law passed away many years ago and no one seems to have this recipe. Can anyone help?

Is this recipe similar? (You can always omit the nuts in the pudding, and the rum in the sauce if you prefer.)
