Been gone a long, long time!

thank you, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

I got the brand, but when it hit over $6/jar, I invested myself 2 yrs ago.. I make my own Every Summer and give some away to my Uncle in IA.

    Yummy!

I use pickling spice, but pull out a lot of cloves b/c it's too overwhelming imo for half sours.

I enjoy them all year round, quite happily icon_smile.gif, and in tuna salad all the time!

    Hello Amber,

I am amazed that this thread is still alive after several years.

I have a jar of Ba-Tampte full garlic sours in the refrigerator. When I buy pickles on the shelf, I always look very closely to see that they are the right green color before I buy them. Some have been sitting on the shelf to long and become to soft. I also bought Ba-Tampte sour tomatoes, which turned out to be over pickled when opening the jar and tasting them... but had VERY GOOD sour pickle tomato taste never-the-less.

Making you own half sour pickles is easy... and you can determine how sour you want time..

    Skipper/Sy

P.S. It is 4:30am here, maybe? I will raid the refrigerator and guess what I will be munching on.
