We are a pizza loving family! There is always a lump of pizza dough in the freezer. One year we even had pizza for Christmas Dinner.

Thin, crispy, garlic crust for me. (bread machine)
    Red sauce (homemade)
TURKEY (less greasy) sausage and caramelized onions, a light layer of parm, a heavy layer of mozzarella.
The weirdest pizza I ever made was requested by a friend's two little girls (5 & 6 at the time). They wanted mushrooms, artichoke hearts, black olives and feta cheese. OH MY it was tasty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! icon_biggrin.gif

We live near a California Pizza Kitchen, so we've tried a lot of theirs.
Thai Chicken and BBQ Chicken are our favorites from there.

For standard pizza, we like pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom.
And I do like the Hawaiian, with ham and pineapple (jalapenos are nice on this).

We have liked pizza with spinach artichoke dip and diced chicken on it.

Before there were Thai Chicken pizzas, we had Mu Shu pizza - a Boboli crust with hoisin sauce and take-out mu shu on top. Quick and easy. There's no cheese to hold it together, but it is good!

That's one of my fav combos.

I like any pizza toppings and easy to please. I do prefer my pizzas with a thin crust, plenty of sauce, and just a sprinkling of cheese. Pizza chains think a pizza should have a thimble full of sauce and two pounds of cheese. No matter how much I plead with them they always deliver me a dry pizza with enough cheese to choke a horse. icon_mad.gif

Mostly, I’m a purist (thin crust, nice and crispy, Pizza Margherita, tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and when it comes out of the oven, put some fresh basil on top, and ‘christen” with some REALLY good olive oil

That is my all time favorite pizza

I’ve had pizza with clams and garlic at a place called Lucky Bones, down in Cape May NJ… (really good and garlicky) they have their own brick oven… NICE pizzas there

We get a white pizza with Portuguese chouriço‎: from our favorite pizza place… LOVE that

My ONLY other non-traditional pizza that I LOVE (when I’m in the mood for it) is Hawiian Pizza…

The STRANGEST pizza I had, was pizza with cheese fries on it… A slice of regular pizza, topped with french fries and cheeze whiz….. my DD and I succumbed to our base urges on the boardwalk of Wildwood NJ last summer… we split a slice because we HAD to give it a try…. I’m a whiz fan, so I’m embarrassed to admit… I didn’t hate it!

Another pizza question for you all.........
Do you like cold pizza the next day?

Hubby loves cold pizza for brekkie the next day, me, not so much.

I like it for breakfast, too.

Love all kinds of pizza, thin n crispy, thicker, pan...these days I do find myself ordering thin n crispy more and more. Toppings - love 'em all but anchovies...just way too salty for me!

Oddest pizza I had was when my dad was getting his heart transplant. We had a thin crust with garlic butter (for sauce) with candian bacon, white button mushrooms and cheese. It was nothing short of amazing.

I am always trying new things for pizza, ranch dressing, BBQ sauce, horseradish....lots of fun!!

I always prefer thin crust pizzas with a tomato or BBQ sauce base and my favourite toppings include pineapple, pepperoni, anchovies, olives and capsicum / bell pepper along with some form of meat or prawns.

Not sure how weird it is because it's somewhat popular here but an "Aussie" pizza has eggs and bacon on it. I've never gone all that much on it myself though.

I'd actually never heard the term red / white sauce before. I found this recipe White Pizza Sauce do you normally just put that over the toppings and on the base as well or does the base normally still have some form of tomato paste on it as well?

The little girls would love, love, love the addition of shrimp to "their" pizza. Shrimp is one of their favorite foods.

I am a traditionalist when it comes to pizza. I like hand tossed with red sauce and lots of cheese with LOTS of pepperoni!!!!!
Occasionally I will have it with black olives, mushrooms and bacon but my preferred-always-go-for pizza is just pepperoni!!
