Menu for Week of March 16 through March 22, 2013

Top o' the mornin' to you! Well, it's late night, but close enough!!! I'm posting menus early this week as we're leaving in the morning to celebrate our anniversary! Can't wait!!
Had a lot of monkey wrenches thrown our way this past we as far as making my menu. So it is mostly repeats next week!
I won't be cooking this weekend at all!!! So my menu starts Monday!

Here's my menu. Share yours!!!

Saturday and Sunday - San Diego, baby!!

Monday - late St Patrick's day celebration - Corned Beef in Beer (Crock Pot)!!

Tuesday - Slow cooker Bolognese - from pinterest, with salad and bread

Wednesday - Cheese Enchilada Stack with rice and beans

Thursday - Chicken Lazone with mashed potatoes and green beans

Friday - ??

C- have a great time on your weekend away. Happy Anniversary to you both! Pretty good here cooking wise - but the tourists have arrived ... Spring Break and then Easter! Geeze ... GO HOME Please! Our beaches, restaurants, and roads are a mess. Us Floridians just hibernate this time of year Still on my USE what I HAVE kick and doing very well. Over $300 in the bank for my trip this summer (up the eastern US coast for 2 weeks; then the Blue Ridge parkway in the Fall for a week) Nothing too special, but wanted to save up vs out of savings. A little food saving can add up quickly.

Wholegrain pasta stuffed cucumbers with asian sauce and curry infused lemon with melted mozzarella chili and pesto

YUM as can be!

Hi everyone from snowy Saskatchewan!! I have put together a menu for the week. It has been awhile but am hoping it will get me a little more organized.
Lovely pictures, yummy sounding recipes.

Sunday -- Ground Beef and Sauce --- 3 Ingredients with mashed potatoes and corn
Monday -- Beef, vegetable and barley soup and rolls
Tuesday -- Chicken Lazone with rice, peas and tomato
Wednesday -- Halibut in parchment with olive oil and lemon slices
Thursday -- Most Tender Pork Loin Roast Ever with boiled cabbage and butter
Friday -- Time to use the leftovers
Saturday -- Birthday dinner for my youngest son.
Delicious Roasted Beef Ribs, Baked potatoes, Salad, Garlic Bread and Chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert.

SC -- We are about 30 min from the top of the Blue Ridge Parkway (where it meets the Skyline Drive). We love to go in the late summer/early fall because it is always about 10 degrees cooler up there than in town, which is a big deal if you want to hike or ride bikes.

I am posting late after a CRAZEEE weekend. House guests for Friday and Saturday, 10 mile running race Saturday morning (I was pleased with my results and had FUN!), FIL's 80th bday on Saturday (catered thing arranged by SIL), family dinner on Sunday (relatives visiting from Switzerland), and then on our way home from that we had to go rescue someone stranded on a motorcycle by snow and ice. It was actually a relief to just sit at work!

Sun - We had the traditional boiled dinner with corned beef, cabbage, carrots, and potato.

Mon - Spicy Mulligatawny Soup ( Chicken ) with tortillas

Tue – Spiced Salmon, brown rice, haricot verts

Wed – Creamless Cauliflower Leek Soup, oatmeal bread

Thu – frozen fish, pesto, broccoli rabe, noodles

Fri – Mafe (Senegalese Beef Stew) with leftover rice from Tue

Hi Mickey,

I vote for the last one. I like the top cropped one as well, but I think it is important to have the context (and contrast) provided by the white dish, and the narrow depth of field/focus allows you to do that without drawing inordinate attention to the background (which is suitably out of focus). Well done, though, for non-ideal lighting. --M
