I didn't know about freezing the caps but like you it would be out of sight ut of mind.

I have to confess I bought a jar of coconut oil at Trader Joe's a while back, forgot I even had it, and have yet to open it. I am thinking I might throw a bit into smoothies.

Really appreciate all the comments here, I had no idea it was so versatile.

I will take both. Less side effects than pharmaceuticals. oooooooooooooo I don't think I am brave enough to even TRY liquid fish oil. Besides, the capsules are easier to carry in my purse than a liquid would be. I take fish oil with every meal.

Thanks for your effort Dibs. I'd have to take ten of those pills a day to equal my current dosage. I'll have to keep gulping down the horse pills.

I tried the orange flavored liquid. It was pretty nasty too. My doctor told me if you freeze the capsules, you won't get that fishy taste. I never tried it because if I didn't keep my fish oil with the rest of my pills, I'd forget to take it.

I'm fortunate in that I don't experience the fishy taste or the fishy burps. If mine were in the freezer, that's where they would stay. Mornings is when I take my thyroid meds and portion out my vitamins for the day. I would most certainly forget about fish oil in the freezer.

I used coconut for years to pop corn. But at that time I would also pop with bacon grease or blend in butter with the coconut oil. Then I passed the 50 year mark. I had good coverage, so I went and gave up bodily fluids that my body work hard to make. Then when they were finished poking and prodding I won a heart stint. So out went all those bad things that were going to kill you. I switched to evo for everything even popping corn. Now I'm back full circle to what was bad is now good. I ordered coconut oil from Vitacost but am looking to buy the oil in bulk. Any places for bulk supplies that you have used successfully? I make skin and hair/beard products for men and want to add coconut oil.

I like oil and vinegar based dressing. I will make a pint jar at a time. How does coconut oil mix with vinegar? What about with other oils? Thanks, Tim

Quite a few members have mentioned that they buy coconut oil in bulk from Costco.
Honestly, I have found a ton of bath/lotion recipes on pinterest-there's a link up top on the right if you want to check it out.
As far as dressing's go, it would be "hard" as coconut oil is solid so you have to heat it up to melt it.

Be sure to also order the special opener thing they offer or you will never get it open and the lid will be ruined.
I found that they had the highest rating among ssuppliers. I order the Extra Virgin Expeller pressed. Just like olive oil you want that same process.
The is a 6part posting on UTUBE (put in" coconut oil " and you should find it) by a Doctor who reversed her husbands Alzheimers by switching to coconut oil exclusively. They have also seen improvement with Parkinsons and Psoriacis.

After just a few weeks, I am seeing a difference in my skin. It's great to find a beneficial product that I actually enjoy eating. If you haven't tried baking bread with coconut oil, I highly recommend it! Wheat bread especially. It really takes the bread to another level.

I'm loving it too! Great tip on the bread. Do you melt it first or cut it in?

Dibs, I store my coconut oil at room temp but I do melt it for the bread. 20 seconds in the microwave and it's liquid. Sweetie doesn't know I've switched from butter to coconut oil for his sandwich bread. I've been tweaking on an excellent white bread recipe to adapt it to wheat bread. The last couple of weeks he's been raving about how perfect the bread is coming out. The ONLY change has been to remove the butter and use the coconut oil.
