Only two more classes left - WOW how time flies!

So this week, we only had four dogs - the little scared guy from last week (doing much better this week, though he wasn't doing to well at paying attention!), the little pitty mixy girl from our last, what? 3? classes, and a new girl - a young, exuberant black lab girl.

Jar dealt very well with the exuberance after his initial hopping around. (I'm still not so sure he's not wishing he could play, but I'm not willing to gamble on it.)

So. Only four dogs, which means they all worked hard - we did a lot of heeling patterns - and the second time, Bob had me drop the leash. Completely.

As in, not just drop the loop and let it drag while I still hold the leash part just in case - I'm talking "look, ma, no hands!"

He was PERFECT! Heeled around the joint like a pro. Which, really, he practically is, after all this time, I guess. icon_wink.gif

AND he even heeled around the other dogs in the figure-8, and he didn't even know they were there. That might have had something to do with the bagel and cream cheese I had in my hand, but I'll take it.

    But seriously - NO LEASH!

    My little boy's growing up. . . icon_lol.gif

You go, Jar! He's done so well and come so far.

He should be a PhD with all the classes he takes. icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks guys! I'm SO thrilled with him! icon_smile.gif

And this is pretty much how he spent the rest of the evening - all that good behavior is exhausting!
