    Bacardi Rum Cake

    Mon Mar 11, 2013 12:58 pm Groupie
I am making this cake tonight and am wondering....I have the clear color Bacardi Rum but the recipe calls for an amber/dark rum. Will this make a difference in the taste? Should I go out and puchase an amber colored Bacardi Rum. Hope someone can help me soon. Thanks in advance.

Gold and dark rums have a stronger and sweeter rum flavor than white (clear) rum does.

I would use what I have. I make rum cake all the time. I will be a bit different in taste; but still be good.
