Life's greatest moments, hm....
My wedding I wore a white dress
The birth of both of my children, an ugly hospital gown
My son's college graduation, blue dress don't recall shoes, probably flats
My daughter's college graduation, black dress with some red and white flowery accents and black flats
The births of 4 grandchildren, I don't remember precisely but I can tell you that I had on jeans and a shirt of some sort with comfy shoes because my daughter always had LONG labors!
My 40th wedding anniversary dinner was wonderful! I wore black slacks, a sparkly top and black strappy beaded heels
The 19 day European Med Cruise my DH and I went on last year was definitely one of my lives "moments" because of all the memories we created!
Trinkets, I liked that question. Brought back memories!
Can you please list any number of the most memorable momets you have had in your life?

One day when I was in college, I had an internship on The Hill, I literally RAN into Senator Kennedy! Files and papers went flying, I fell to my knees. Sooo emabarrasing but he never forgot me . And then years and years later, I did the same thing at Barney's department store in NYC with Barry Manilow! His entourage were mad and angry and Barry M was livid! Huh. Then the nice moments: The moment my husband and I laid eyes on each other. The moment we laid eyes on DD! My college graduation day. One day with college friends in the French Quarter and a man was playing such a soulful tune on the trumpet along the side of the Mississippi River. One early Saturday morning when DH and I were still living in New Orlans, the Pope was there for a few days, I went out to walk our 3 dogs. I walked near the Arch-Bishop's residence and there on the lawn was the helicopter with the police escorting the Pope and the Arch-Bishop over to it! No one else was even there on the street! There were police barricades surrounding the heli-pad but Zack, Stormy, Noon, and I were able to run up to within 50 yards of the Pope! I waved and waved and he actually looked and smiled and then of all things...he blessed us all! I bet I had the only dogs in America blessed by the Pope! Oh, I have had such wonderful moments in my life. Perhaps I am blessed!
At this moment I am thinking of tomorrow's shopping trip to New Orleans with DD for her 1st Prom dress. OOOOh, I am praying for a good day!
What important shopping trips/outings do you remember?

I hope that you and your DD have a fantastic time creating memories and that you find the perfect dress you BOTH agree on!
I remember when I was five and my grandmother drug a little stool over to the counter in the kitchen and told me to hop on up as she was going to teach me how to make pancakes.
I remember when I was ten and I laid eyes on my brother for the first time! I immediately fell in love with him. And even though he is no longer on this earth I still think of him and love him every day.
I remember when my Mother we with us to wrap a house, or roll as some people call it. Anyway the man of the house saw us and called to his wife to call the poslice! My Mother hollered "RUN!" and we did!
I remember when we got to the Chapel for my wedding, I discovered that my brother's new shoes had two right shoes in the box. Luckily some friends of mine had arrived early and I send them out to buy another pail
I remember my Dad's BBQ. He made the best ribs and sausage ever!
I remember my sister (3 years older than I am) coming home from dates and I would peek out the window and just when her date tried to give her a kiss I'd flip on the porch light. I remember I found that hysterically funny at the time.
I could go on and on, but I won't......
Could you please list your comfort foods & drinks.

Not much because it's my birthday! A friend came by this morning with a beautioful picture and a visit, and DH and I are going to my DD's house for a late lunch and I requested her homemade tomato soup and a salad and that my grands make a dessert of their choice. My 3 yr. old Granddaughter shares my bday so we will be doing a family birthday for her today also. Next weekend we will have a birthday with her little friends here at my house. We will come home in time to watch the first of the mini series starting tonight, The Bible.

Aw Junie, happy happy belated birthday!!!!!! And many more!!!!
My Sunday was very quiet, we went out to a little grocery shopping, had some coffee, went to a plant nursery. Came home, busied myself in the garden putting in what we had bought (some arum lillies, durante gold (a sort of shrub), impatiens,) , re-potted some plants that were looking a bit tired, did general dead-heading and maintenance, later on did the ironing, cooked .. that was about it
how regularly do you buy stuff for the garden, and what do you most frequently purchase

From about April through Octiber I am always buying something for the gardens! The one item most often purchased is mulch. I could collect my own pine needles but then I'd have to quit working it would take up too much time. Or I could hire a full-time gardener but I haven't won the lottery, yet .
Every year we buy:
Weed and seed for the lawns
seeds for the vegetables:
corn, tomatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, radishes, arugula, lettuces, peas, cucumbers, peppers, eggplant, herbs: basil, cilantro, parsley, everything else is still growing like the oregano, thyme, chives, mint that you cannot get rid of, lavender, rosemary....
It's almost time!
Do you have any vacation plans coming up?

Junie, SO SORRY, Happy, happy belated birthday!!!!
I never play tennis anymore. Unless you count using the racquet to throw the tennis ball for the dogs.
I hardly ever walk anymore and I really need to start that back up, my muscles are shrinking
I need to start writing in my journal again
gardening...but it has been winter, afterall
it seems all I do anymore is work, cook, sleep, repeat
Oh, and I never do these word games anymore because of the above
Real estate just slowed down for me, unfortunately. But I know it will pick up again soon. So in the meantime I'm playing.
