Not sure if I did this correctly, but I submitted my 3 recipes one after the other where it said "submit another recipe" Also, not sure about when to download photos of the recipes. And 1 more thing: I forgot to add the 5 ingredient Fix Contest entry at the beginning of one of my recipe descriptions.
Hi there... these questions get easier to answer everyday. By the way, "Welcome"!
I am not on staff at Food.com, but I've answered these same questions before, and I was told by the "elves" (staff) that I was correct... so here goes...
1) Publication: It can take 24-48 hours for your submitted recipes to appear on the list. They need to be approved first, and then published by the "elves".
2) Photos: After a recipe is approved and added to the list, you will be able to click on your title and it will redirect you to the publication of your recipe. You will then see a blank clickable box with a quote: "Add Your Photo" (and then that's just what you do... as many as you want).
3) Corrections: Either "Elf Kathy" or maybe "Elf Liza" will fix that. So many people forget to add it, but they almost always catch it before publishing the recipe. You can always edit your recipe (the beginning paragraph or ingredients or instructions) after submitting it, but you "cannot change the title", otherwise the clickable link will not take you to the recipe. I know for a fact that they can and will take care of adding the #5FIX to the title, and I believe they can add the 5-Ingedient Fix Contest Entry in the 1st paragraph. I've seen them do it. Hey, they're "food elves"... they can do anything!
Hope this puts your worries to rest.
Good luck to you. I can't wait to see your recipes.
"Welcome to our little group of foodies".
